ABOUT:
Beautiful and attention grabbing figural ring in a heart shape with an additional heart shaped crown/ribbon design on top.  The heart ribbon and outline of the ring face are set with 29 iridescent gray and cream pearls and at the center is a large, beautiful yellow citrine also cut in the shape of a heart.  The ring is 10k rose gold with some yellow gold highlights.
Awesome figural piece that I think may have been a brooch at one time that was later converted to a ring?  I noticed looking at the back because the band appears like it may have been connected to the heart face at a later date as there is evidence of soldering where the band meets the ring face and there are some marks to the gold above that where a pin back might have been?
I took this to my jeweler who verified that the ring face is definitely antique and they thought that i
f it was a brooch originally, then it is possible the heart shaped citrine is original, as it would not have had much wear compared to having spent its whole life as a ring bumping things on a hand.  So while it is an altered antique, in some ways it is good in that the citrine has little to no wear.
One other important thing - You will notice also there is a rim inside / behind the ring face around the back of the heart, so when you wear it as a ring, it presses against the finger instead of being smooth / flush / flat on the back.  It is nice in that it allows the heart shaped face to stand up off the finger slightly.  This is not really visible so it is absolutely beautiful when worn, but you can feel that rim on the underside.  And the edge is a bit pronounced since it hasn't lived its whole life rubbing against a finger.  I don't want to say it is sharp because it doesn't cut into the finger or anything, but it does have a pretty blunt edge around that gold rim on the inside so please note that it can feel a bit sharp when rubbing against the finger.  This fancy beauty would need gentle wear for that reason.
Regardless, it is really a neat statement and super fun to wear.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
The ring is about a size 6? Because of the shape with the rim in the back, it doesn't press snugly against my ring sizer mandrel but it seems to fit around a size 6.   The citrine is about 11mm by 10mm. The ring face is about 22.5mm by 14.5mm, so 7/8ths of an inch tall.  It stands about 1/4 inch / 6.5mm tall off the finger.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
All my estate pieces are preowned and in estate condition. As mentioned I believe the piece was originally a brooch and the inside rim behind the citrine is a bit sharp and also slightly uneven (this is not visible when worn).
One of the three tiny pearls in the heart shaped crown at the top has cracked as it has deteriorated from age.  This is again not visible to the eye when looking at the piece but I could see it under magnification.  There is loss to the gold on the bezel in the curve of the upper left part of the heart, but the stone is very secure in the bezel and does not move or wobble.  It has a nice patina to the gold from age, some areas very rose gold, others more warm yellow gold.   Surface wear to the gold band but it is still substantial and nicely shaped.
It presents nicely but due to age - please note this is not a mint condition item.  Like all antique jewelry, please handle these rings with care.
